I was called to St. Luke Lutheran Church in July of 2023.  A native of Durham N.C. I attended Elon College and received my MDIV from Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary.  Ministry is a second career me. I answered God’s call to ministry after retirement from the Army. I served as a helicopter mechanic and later a field artillery officer. The three combat tours in Iraq and one in Afghanistan have been instrumental in my spiritual formation. They have given me a deep appreciation for the Gospel of Jesus Christ and my call to bring it to a broken world. My wife Carla and I have been married for 22 years and counting. We are the proud parents of two rescue beagles, Charlotte and Indie. During our leisure time we enjoy spending time on our boat at the lake, the symphony, and attending NASCAR races.
